Rank 5 is the main home of the mellophones, who are full of love for each other and pretty much everyone else. They never disappoint when it comes time for a dance break and they're never anything less than utterly majestic.
Rank Leader: Ben McDannell '27
Ben McDannell (he/him) is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Creative Writing. He is from Alexandria, VA, and is also the Vice President of ASME.
Ben's favorite part of the 97 is the sense of community that comes with being part of the 97. It's a pleasure to work with everyone involved, both in and outside of rehearsal. He joined the 97 for the people! The 97 has some of the funniest, smartest, and kindest people on campus.
Ben's favorite memory is the PWSNTTEAM. He lives for bits and this was one of the best bits he's been a part of during his time at Lehigh.
