Rank 11 is the traditional home of the tenor saxophones, a group that never runs out of noise or sass. They bring their unique sense of humor to all events! Easily spot them with their iconic head tilts during tailgating and their constant laughter! They really are the most iconic rank! The 97 certainly wouldn't be the same without Rank 11 around.
Rank Leader: Elijah Forney '27
Elijah Forney (he/him) is a senior studying Environmental Science and minoring in Political Science. He is from Berkeley, CA, and is also involved in Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Honors Fraternity, EDPi Enviro-Sci Honors Fraternity, and Conservation Club.
Elijah's favorite part of the 97 is band camp and Friday themed rehearsals! He joined the 97 because he played music for ten years before coming to Lehigh, and despite not having a marching band in high school, when he saw the 97 during his campus visit, he knew he had to join.
Elijah's favorite memory is filling an entire Star Tours car with 97 members at Disney World and having the ride operator take a picture of us. A fun fact about Elijah is that he used to run an Etsy shop for sculpting helmets from games and TV shows before coming to Lehigh!
